thanks bringing that to my attention, haven’t seen this yet.
just wanted to say that i don’t agree with your attitude towards anime (”your regular anime”, as in, “regular == yuu-gi-ou”) … yeah, 99% of anime nowadays are shit, but that’s true for cinema, books, games and every other kind of fiction (or medium, or however you call it) as well. there were some superb manga and anime titles that come to my mind when i read your description, most notably blame and ghost in the shell (others, too, but these two IMO strongly focus on environment and stuff). anyway, just a note from an otakufaggot who’s picky about wording and feels obligated to defend the (good?) name of anime. the harem and moe bullshit is the cancer, but remember the good times when anime were associated with titles like Perfect Blue, Akira, Golden Boy, Jin Roh and whatnot ! sry about the lengthy comment. orz
